In the European Union, construction and demolition account for around 32 % of all waste, making it the largest single waste category by weight (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastcham.fi\/finnishwastemanagement\/waste-management\/construction-waste\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EastCham Finland, 2023<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>In Finland, around 13.2 million tonnes of waste was generated from construction and demolition in 2019, which accounted for 11.7 % of the country's total waste. While most of this was soil and dredging waste, up to 400 000 tonnes was wood, metal and other valuable construction materials (<a href=\"https:\/\/stat.fi\/til\/jate\/2019\/jate_2019_2021-06-16_tie_001_en.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Statistics Finland, 2021<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>It is noteworthy that only 48 % of this construction waste is recycled, compared to the EU target of 70 % (<a href=\"https:\/\/yle.fi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yle, 2020<\/a>). There is room for making things more sustainable - especially through smart design, modularity and responsible material choices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>INTO Concept's approach: smart and sustainable design<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We want to reduce our environmental impact by providing sustainable <a href=\"https:\/\/intoconcept.com\/en\/tuotteet\/\">office furniture<\/a> and adaptable <a href=\"https:\/\/intoconcept.com\/en\/product-category\/work-booths-and-meeting-pods\/\">POD facilities<\/a>.
