Tens of thousands of people have already sat on INTO sofas
UniCafe Kaivopiha was completed a year ago after a major renovation. Since then, tens of thousands of people have already sat on INTO POINT sofas in the UniCafe canteen. More than 2 000 people eat at UniCafe Kaivopiha, the largest student restaurant in Helsinki, every day.
The premises were completely renovated to better meet the needs of customers, cooking and presentation. So it wasn't just a small renovation, but a reimagining of the entire customer path and a vision of the concept; what a centrally located restaurant open to everyone in the city could be.
”We wanted to show that student catering, comfortable and high-quality restaurant spaces and sustainable solutions are not mutually exclusive but can fit on the same plate.”, said Business Director Leena Pihlajamäki.

Plenty of seating space was designed into the space with individual seating solutions and INTO POINT with sofas.
