Placement of PODs
PODs increase both comfort and productivity by providing comfortable acoustic rooms that also offer protection from visual stimuli. POD rooms are designed for occupancy, but this requires a sensible layout. We put together a short and simple guide on what to consider when siting POD rooms.

Place PODs close to people
The key to locating PODs is to place them close to users so that they are easily accessible.
If workers always have to travel to the other side of the office just to concentrate alone or to collaborate with colleagues, this reduces the use of POD rooms. POD rooms are at their best when they are placed in central locations, allowing them to be used as space dividers. INTO POD rooms a sensible, clear-cut design allows PODs to be placed side by side without leaving gaps for dust and dirt. Clean lines, straight corners and a minimalist look make these PODs timeless and adaptable to any space and need.

Place phone booths in key areas
When installing phone booths, it is particularly important to place them in central areas close to users so that they are easy to use. When an unexpected call comes in, it should be possible to reach the booth within a reasonable time without disturbing others.
The right number of support spaces
Provide your team with enough support space. While one phone booth for every forty people is a good band-aid, it's not enough. A good rule of thumb is one phone booth per 10-20 people, plus other POD rooms depending on your employee profiles: do you do a lot of teamwork, do your employees need to focus for longer periods at a time, or do they meet with clients frequently? Our team will be happy to help you determine these key metrics with you, contact us here.
Many sizes of support spaces
Before purchasing a POD, we recommend that you consider its purpose, and who will use it. Choose the right size POD room for the purpose. POD PHONE phone booths are ideal for fast calls. POD 1 and POD 2 are compact solutions for spontaneous meetings and independent working. PODs 2-4 are optimal for collaboration and teamwork, and POD 4 is perfect for a variety of meetings.
