sustainability

At INTO Concept, sustainability stems from long-term planning

We design flexible and functional spatial solutions that stand the test of time, withstand heavy use and adapt to changing needs. For us, responsibility is reflected not only in our choice of materials but also in the long life cycle of our products, their adaptability and the way in which they support people’s wellbeing.

In 2025, we took an important step in our climate work by calculating our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol framework. The calculation was carried out in collaboration with The Central Chamber of Commerce’s Climate Programme with.

Emissions accounting makes climate impacts visible

Calculating our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions helped us to gain an understanding of the emissions associated with our own operations and the energy we purchase.

During the 2025 reporting year, INTO Concept generated no Scope 1 emissions at all, and the most significant sources of emissions were found in the Scope 2 category. The electricity we use is renewable and its origin is verified by guarantees of origin, which reduced our overall emissions.

The 2025 assessment provided us with a clear starting point for developing our climate action.

Next up: Scope 3 emissions

The next step is to extend emissions accounting to cover Scope 3 emissions, i.e. the entire value chain.

The review covers, amongst other things, procurement, the supply chain, logistics and the product life cycle. The aim is to identify the most significant sources of emissions in the value chain and, together with our partners, find ways to reduce them.

Carefully selected materials support a long life cycle

In our choice of materials, we prioritise durability, safety and longevity.

The timber we use is FSC-certified; our materials are recyclable; and we use M1-classified materials or equivalent solutions that promote healthy indoor environments.

We are constantly developing our range of materials. Our aim is for 70 per cent of our standard fabrics to be made from recycled materials by 2027.

Well-being is part of responsible spatial planning

Sustainability is also intrinsically linked to the kind of spaces that are designed for people.

The Class A acoustics and calm design language of telephone booths, workspaces and meeting rooms help to create environments that are conducive to working, learning and interacting.

Continuous development throughout the value chain

We understand that sustainability work cannot be achieved through a single calculation or a single measure. It develops through collaboration with our customers, suppliers and other partners.

We give preference to suppliers within the EU and long-term partnerships, and we require our partners to adopt responsible business practices. Our priorities for the coming years include mapping Scope 3 emissions, increasing the use of recycled and certified materials, and reducing packaging materials.

Calculating our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions has been a concrete step for us towards more transparent and measurable sustainability work.

Our aim is to create responsibly built spaces that adapt to change, stand the test of time and support people in their everyday lives.
