Background

Meeting and sauna facilities were designed for the top floor of the Aviabulevardi II office building in Vantaa. The facilities host a wide range of events, from board meetings to more informal sauna evenings.

The aim was for the spaces to function as relaxed, multi-purpose areas, each with its own distinct atmosphere. Of the two adjacent spaces, one is a subtle shade of blue-turquoise and the other a warm shade of orange.

Challenge

The meeting and sauna facilities were designed to cater for a variety of uses in a relaxed yet functional manner. The spaces were intended to be suitable for both more formal meetings and more informal gatherings.

The solutions needed to offer versatility, good seating comfort and a pleasant acoustic environment. The furniture also had to complement the different colour schemes and atmospheres of the spaces, as well as be easy to move around as required.

Solution

High-back chairs were chosen for the premises POINT HIGH sofas and portable TOP tables. The colours of the POINT sofas echo the blue-turquoise and warm orange colour scheme of the adjacent rooms, thereby integrating the furniture into the overall look of the spaces.

The high-back POINT sofas and the acoustic panels that extend from them create a pleasantly soft soundscape in any space. The design of the sofas promotes an ergonomic working posture, making them ideal as additional seating for meeting participants. Thanks to their firm yet supportive upholstery, the sofas are comfortable to sit on even for extended periods.

POINT sofas were combined with height-adjustable TOP tables, which make the space both functional and stylish. The sturdy TOP tables are easy to move to wherever they are needed. Thanks to the adjustable gas lift, the tables can also be quickly adjusted to the user’s preferred height.

Results from

With furniture from INTO Concept, the meeting and sauna facilities at Aviabulevardi II have been transformed into relaxed, functional and versatile multi-purpose spaces. POINT sofas bring colour, comfort and extra seating for meeting attendees, whilst TOP tables support the flexible use of the spaces for a variety of events.

The overall design enhances the acoustics, ergonomics and usability of the spaces. High-back sofas and acoustic panels make the spaces more pleasant to use, whilst movable, height-adjustable tables allow the spaces to be adapted to different needs.
