Background

Hartela’s head office is located in Ilmala. The aim was to make the most of the property’s exceptionally large floor area and to bring the 70 employees, who had previously been spread across different floors, together to work on the same floor.

The Hartela brand communicates Finnishness and domesticity. The homeliness of the workspaces was an important criterion when choosing office furniture.

Challenge

When 70 staff members were brought together on the same floor, solutions were needed for the working environment that would support tasks requiring both concentration and collaboration.

The aim was to enhance privacy within the spaces and create quiet workspaces as part of the open-plan office environment. At the same time, the furniture had to be in keeping with the Hartela brand and support the spaces’ homely, Finnish and timelessly clean aesthetic.
