Background

Valmet’s premises in Keilaniemi, Espoo, were converted INTO the Nordic Silence – product range using furniture to create a flexible, multi-purpose office.

The subtle green colour scheme of the interior evokes Valmet’s industry, the forest and trees. The colour scheme complements the beautiful sea view that opens up behind the tall glass walls.

Challenge

Valmet’s premises required solutions that would support different ways of working and make the spaces adaptable to change.

The aim for the multi-purpose office was to provide both quiet spaces for concentration and functional areas for group work. The spaces were designed to offer staff the opportunity to choose their working environment as required, whether for independent work, meetings or teamwork.

Solution

Furniture from the INTO the Nordic Silence product range was chosen for Valmet’s premises, enabling the office space to be transformed into a multi-space office that supports different ways of working.

To ensure a peaceful environment for concentration, the following were placed in the premises: POD meeting rooms. They provide a peaceful environment when your work requires greater privacy and a distraction-free environment.

The following items were brought into the premises for group work: POINT sofas and POINT CUP furniture. They provide spaces for meetings, discussions and collaborative work as part of an open-plan office environment.

Results from

Using furniture from the INTO the Nordic Silence product range, Valmet’s premises were transformed into a functional and adaptable multi-space office that supports a wide variety of working styles.

POD workstations provide a quiet environment for work that requires concentration, whilst POINT sofas and POINT CUP furniture support teamwork and socialising. Taken as a whole, this makes the office more flexible and better able to adapt to the varying demands of the working day.

The interior’s understated green colour scheme seamlessly integrates the furnishings with Valmet’s line of business and the maritime setting of the premises.
